We Are Envision Legal
Envision Legal is a boutique commercial law firm based in South-West Sydney. We work with entrepreneurs, growing businesses and established companies who need practical, commercial legal advice delivered by lawyers who understand how business actually works.
Founded on the belief that great legal advice shouldn’t require a big-firm budget, we offer the expertise of seasoned commercial lawyers in a lean, accessible format. Whether you’re buying a business, launching a startup, protecting your brand or navigating a contract dispute, we’re the team in your corner.
Our Approach
Let’s be honest – not everyone has great experiences with lawyers, and we’re here to change that.
Nothing fancy, nothing difficult, and tailored to your budget. We’re here to guide you step-by-step and remove all the unnecessary legal jargon and paperwork so that dealing with lawyers is more bearable!
We are not a general practice law firm and have a select amount of practice areas that we specialise in, and prefer to deal with your needs on that basis – so you know you’re paired with someone experienced in the area we are assisting you with.
Some lawyers may dive into areas they’re unfamiliar with or outsource work to collect a paycheck – unfortunately not us.
We are tech-enabled with cutting edge software and AI tools.
We remain committed to delivering exceptional outcomes and maintaining healthy, strong relationships with our clients.
Meet the Founder
Rej Singh is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer with a career spanning banking, finance, and insurance since 2010. He’s held legal and compliance roles in-house and on contract across some of Australia’s most recognised financial services organisations — bringing practical, commercial legal thinking to every engagement.
Rej is equally comfortable advising senior executives, C-suites, and boards as he is working directly with business owners — from early-stage SMEs through to enterprise. Polished and professional, but never stuffy — he’s built a reputation for cutting through complexity and delivering legal solutions that actually move the needle for clients across operations, sales, marketing, product, risk, and compliance.
He’s also embraced technology and AI to sharpen legal workflows and deliver smarter, faster outcomes.

Over his career, Rej has worked in and advised organisations including:

Rej has been recognised multiple times as a finalist for Corporate Counsel and Insurance Lawyer of the Year at the Lawyers Weekly and Australasian Law Awards.
In addition to being an adept technical lawyer, Rej has led teams and developed tech/AI solutions for legal functions. This includes embedding practice management software in legal operations and building AI-powered solutions that reduce turnaround times, improve consistency, and free lawyers to focus on higher-value advisory work. Not in a developer capacity – but creatively using existing market solutions.
Before all of this, he had a fun career as an Indian dhol player and bhangra artist — and before that, he was flipping burgers and stacking fruit & veg at the supermarket during high school. Ask him all about it.
On a personal level, Rej enjoys spending time with his family, friends, finding new pubs, trying new whiskies, kickboxing and MMA, property investment, gaming (occasionally these days) and travelling the world.
He grew up in South-West Sydney and is loyal to his roots, Rej aims to support vulnerable people and youth through various charitable and philanthropic endeavours within and beyond the community.

David Richmond – Consulting Partner

With over 25 years of legal experience across multiple jurisdictions, David brings a rare combination of technical depth and commercial instincts to every matter. His career spans personal injury, complex commercial litigation, property disputes, insurance law, and contract work — built across England, New South Wales, and Queensland.
Admitted as a solicitor in England in 2008, David made the move to Australia in 2013, gaining NSW admission in 2015 and Queensland in 2018. Along the way, he ran his own private practice — which means he understands what it actually takes to run a business, manage risk, and make decisions under pressure.
David holds a Diploma of Applied Blockchain and has advised blockchain and cryptocurrency businesses at the intersection of emerging technology and commercial law — a space where few lawyers have genuine expertise.
His approach is straightforward: understand the commercial reality, cut through the noise, and deliver outcomes that actually move the needle.
When he’s not working, David is renovating properties, out on the golf course, swimming, or making the most of everything Australia’s coastline has to offer.
